Abstract:
Promoting entrepreneurial activities is one of the most promising solutions for boosting and sustaining economic development of a nation. Entrepreneurial activities are believed to accelerate economic growth and create job opportunities; the popularity of entrepreneurial activities could also reflect the efficiency of both public and private sectors in a specific area. After decades of exploration, the essence, the critical factors, and the causes and effects of entrepreneurship have been extensively investigated; however, as a concept covering various aspects and a process involving dynamic interactions, it would be fruitful to jointly consider individual level, cognitive level, and environmental level variables to construct a holistic understanding of the concept.
